Hair and Scalp Wellness During Chemotherapy & Radiation
As the founder of Hair and Scalp 360 LLC and ROgHA Hair System, my mission is to deliver knowledge to those struggling with hair and scalp concerns, and help them understand the choices that they have available to address those concerns. Like many, I’ve had family members undergo cancer treatment. I understand the fear that is connected to hair loss and thinning, including the devastating affect it can have on one’s self-image and confidence, especially while trying to focus on a new medical diagnosis.
It is because of my extensive training and experience as a Certified Trichologist, licensed cosmetologist, educator and salon owner that I was able to research and develop a program that specifically benefits patients undergoing cancer treatment. Hair and Scalp Wellness During Chemotherapy and Radiation is a free educational program available to men, women and children throughout their cancer treatment.
During the two years it took me to develop this program, I incorporated information from personal experiences with family, friends and clients, my trichology, cosmetology and cosmetic chemistry knowledge, and feedback from oncology medical professionals to create a program patients would find valuable in addressing their hair and scalp concerns while undergoing cancer treatment. Launched in 2018 in two major oncology centers and growing, I am proud to announce that I have been helping many patients throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and I look forward to helping many others.
Hair & Scalp Wellness During Chemotherapy and Radiation helps patients understand the changes that can occur to their hair and scalp while receiving oncology treatment. During the program, we share valuable information that will help patients throughout every phase of their treatment, including information that will guide them to understand ingredients that are gentle to their hair, scalp and skin, during and after treatment. Attendees of the program will receive answers to these questions, and more:
- Why will I experience hair loss or thinning during treatment?
- What should I expect as this transition begins?
- What can I do to make this transition easier?
- How can I prepare as my hair begins to grow back?
- What options are available to me until my hair grows back?
This program is designed for men, women and children. Because support is so crucial and most patients travel this journey with many supporters, I encourage patients to attend with a family member, friend or loved one. Accurate, clear information and reduced anxiety is beneficial for everyone.
Hair & Scalp Wellness During Chemotherapy & Radiation is available to patients at a variety of oncology locations at no charge. Our program seminars are offered in small intimate group settings including personal one-on-one sessions. If a patient is interested in scheduling a private consultation for a hair and scalp assessment post treatment, this option is available outside of this free program.
